Welcome to FairyDustStamper, aka stampin_lady (eBay) and Marilyn Schulte

On this site I want to share some of my cards and techniques, along with some of my favorite sites and blogs.  I have such a hard time keeping up with them -My Favorites List has grown so long= I thought I’d share them with you.

Here is a card I found in a Joy of Card Making, 2005.  Here is a finished card, along with the tags I made for it.  It’s really simple, and I love being able to use up scraps of paper to make the tags.  I’ve found that I can make tags as I go along with other projects, put them in a box, then when I need them, there they are, ready for an embellishment or sentiment.

The material list is simple, 8 ½ x 11 cardstock, 3/58 x 11 scrapbook paper that will be cut into pieces, tags and emblishments.  The pictures below are placed on colored cardstock so that you can see how the white cardstock is cut.

1.       Cut card stock to 7 ½ x 11.

2.       Score 3 5/8” from the right side, then 3 5/8” from the left side.  Crease.

3.       From the top left side measure down 5 inches, and mark.  On the middle side, measure 2 ½ inches and mark.

4.       Cut the first column so that it leaves a 2 ½” flap.  Cut the middle column so that it leaves a 5” flap.

5.       In the second picture you can see how they are folded.

6.       Then cut scrapbook paper to cover each flap and adhere.

7.       You can either stitch or tape the edges to form the pockets.  Don’t forget to stitch or tape the bottoms of the pockets – my

first set of tags fell through

8.       Adhere to base.  If you want, you can attach to a card, but I taped it and wrote my messages either on the tags or on the back

 of the card.

9.       Play with  tags!!
